Dr. John Wade

SUMMARY: The Dean is the chief academic officer of the College with responsibility for administrative oversight, resource allocation and management including fiscal/budgetary issues and workload, the delivery of instructional programs, scholarly activity and service, advancement and fundraising, and liaison with central administration and the university community.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Prepares annual college report.
- Conducts new faculty and chair orientation sessions.
- Coordinates college mentoring and faculty development programs.
- Chairs the Sabbatical and Strategic Planning Committees.
- Participates in all college level promotion and tenure decisions.
- Formulates annual college budget requests and reports.
- Coordinates development, advancement, and fundraising activities at college level.
- Serves on university committees as requested by Provost and President.
- Conducts annual departmental reviews.
- Participates in faculty and chairperson appointments and other administrative/personnel appointments at college level.
- Promotes interdisciplinary and inter-college collaboration, cooperation, and scholarly activity.
- Evaluates department chairpersons according to university policy.
- Promotes the visibility of the college in the region, state and nation.
